Sherrif Joe spent his Easter weekend speaking to anti-immigrant / white supremacy groups. Our friend, Stephen Lemons from the Phoenix New Times reported on it here. The most interesting part of this one on one interview with “America’s Toughest Sherrif” was this little diddy:

The sheriff’s actions are becoming the greatest threat to our neighbors and our community. Many children have witnessed the arrest of their parents, a traumatizing event that affects their ability to concentrate in school. Many parents are afraid to walk their children to school. We can allow an elected official to continue to exacerbate a culture of fear, especially when it affects our children, our future.
