Social Media Video: Gerald Richard in AZ

Gerald Richard for Maricopa County Attorney has placed a social media piece on Viddler:

In McCain’s Own Words…

Richard Files over 5,000 signatures

Gerald Richard, Democratic candidate for County Attorney, has qualified for the September 2nd primary ballot.  Richard has filed over five-thousand petition signatures, more than twice the required minimum of 2,338.

Richard says he will emphasize his 22 years of law enforcement experience in his campaign to unseat Andrew Thomas as Maricopa County Attorney.  “I am the only candidate who has actually prosecuted felony criminal cases before a jury,” said Richard.  “I am the only Democrat who has effectively and successfully managed a large law enforcement agency the size of the county attorney’s office.” Continue reading →

The Candy and Joe Show

Yes that is right folks, the next step of the self propagandizing duo on tax payers time was to take over for Bruce Jacobs, of KFYI shame, during his morning show.

Well last time I checked, Friday morning is still a work day right? Sheriff Joe and County Attorney Candy Thomas were still on the tax payers clock right? So this was more an informative interview of how the offices of the tax payers are being conducted and will not be a self promotional stunt or any more political rhetoric from the far right?

Well, you Maricopa County residents know this is not the case.

No transcript posted… but this was a typical propaganda and self promotion soapbox for these two nut jobs. Photos from within KFYI demonstrate this:

There was a point where the normal Fox10 morning show breakaway to the KFYI studio took place and the host over at Fox10 kept interrupting Sheriff Joe. Candy Thomas got very livid at this and threw another fit about the big bad media picking on daddy Joe. Please tell me that someone has this tivo’ed. I want to YouTube that badly!

County Attorney Race Heats Up On The Blogs

The East Valley Tribune published an online article about Thomas’ announcement in the midst of his Supreme Court challenge (whine) about the Arizona Bar investigation on his ethics as an attorney.

The original article is here.  But what is interesting is the tit-for-tat comments on who the best challenger is.

Here is a few examples: Continue reading →

Un-needed Drama: Blogging the Convention

We over at BlueDynamic will be blogging the convention as well as Ted over at Rum, Romanism, and Rebellion. I have been impressed with how the DNCC has been handling these convention credentials. We as bloggers are gaining unprecedented access. I know many folks in the MSM that are actually envious of the access we are being allowed. Kudos needs to go to the folks at DNCC on this process. BlueDynamic will be utilizing live streaming video technology to interview our AZ delegates, and we will be working close with the state party to make sure all Arizona Democrats get to experience what the delegates are experiencing on the floor.

Despite this great experience, Kos has his ego in a bit of a fit. He decided to take this issue and make it personal toward Aaron and call individuals out in a blog versus talk about the system.

Simply put, we are getting unprecedented access. State Parties, unlike you would be led to believe, had some consultation, but there was no “hand off.” Bloggers are proactive on the ground, and like Ted and I want to work with the state party to maximize communication efforts. To think this was top down from the state parties is just bunk. I take the DNCC and the state parties at their word as they have been very transparent about it throughout the process, and I have been talking to both sides throughout the process.

Ok, I am calling you out Ted, your thoughts on yet another false Kos-attack? Help me out here brother. I for one feel this time was much smoother and open then 2004, what has been your experience?

My hats off to the DNCC for attempting to make order out of the disorderly ;)

Jason Williams’ Announcement of New State PAC

Dear friend,

I know it has been some time since you have heard from me. In fact, many people have asked what I’ve been up to since I ran for Superintendent of Public Instruction? I appreciate everyone reaching out to express their interest and support for me after we came so close to victory. Please be assured that my silence has not been due to inaction.

Today I would like to introduce you to AZ School Works.

After processing the realization that we would have to wait another four years to change the leadership and priorities within our state department of education, I knew we needed to continue our movement to ensure all of Arizona’s children are moving forward. Over the past year and a half I have been meeting with educators, community leaders and elected officials to determine our next courses of action Through my previous campaign, and these various conversations, we have identified a significant need to provide Arizona’s educators, parents, students and concerned citizens with an effective vehicle to advocate for financial reasonability and genuine, results-driven reform within our public education system.
